Objectives

Students should be able to

• apply exponential laws including exponents as fractions

• know root, exponential and logarithmic functions and solve equations of these functions

• examine the derivative of root, exponential and logarithmic functions and apply these when dealing with exponential increasing and decreasing function models

• examine root, exponential and logarithmic functions using technological tools for solving root, exponential and logarithmic equations and using the derivatives of root, exponential and logarithmic functions in solving practical problems.
